Bosses are giant craft that carpet-bomb the deck. Enemy submarines will strike with torpedoes and missiles β but your destroyers, friendly subs, and ASW helicopters will actively hunt them on contact (enemy subs are hard-capped).
Only navy crew can repair the carrier β and they can also help launch friendly fighters from the deck.

You are the AA turret cart on the deck. Move, aim, and shred incoming planes.
Carrier HP is the long bar. If it hits 0: game over.
Soldiers are critical: they repair the carrier over time. Buy more in the shop.
Friendly Fighters launch from the deck and hunt enemy planes. Upgrade them!
Boss Blimps are slow, tanky, and drop heavy bombs. Focus fire + missiles.
Submarines appear later and launch torpedoes/missiles. Escorts help a lot.
Open the shop with B (desktop) or π (mobile) between waves, or anytime if you dare.
